# Projects

With numerous projects in operation, and more on the way, Monarch is making a major carbon-negative impact on the environment by removing at least 25 times more carbon emissions from the atmosphere than emitted.

We are well on our way to achieving our cumulative goal of producing over 5.5 million MMBtu of negative carbon RNG by 2026. From an environmental perspective, it’s the equivalent of taking 1.2 million cars off the road or planting 254 million trees.

**LOCATION:** Powersville, Missouri

**FIRST GAS:** 2020

**ANNUAL RNG PRODUCTION (MMBtu):** 172,000

**ANNUAL GREENHOUSE GAS ABATEMENT: (MT CO2e):** 80,000

**ANNUAL CLIMATE BENEFIT:** Equivalent to taking 17,400 cars off the road or planting 3.6 million new trees each year.

**LOCATION:** Greencastle, Missouri

**FIRST GAS:** 2017

**ANNUAL RNG PRODUCTION (MMBtu):** 146,000

**ANNUAL GREENHOUSE GAS ABATEMENT: (MT CO2e):** 71,000

**ANNUAL CLIMATE BENEFIT:** Equivalent to taking 15,400 cars off the road or planting 3.2 million new trees each year.

**ANNUAL CLIMATE BENEFIT:** Equivalent to taking 10,400 cars off the road or planting 2.2 million new trees each year.

**ANNUAL CLIMATE BENEFIT:** Equivalent to taking 10,000 cars off the road or planting 2.1 million new trees each year.
