Roeslein Alternative Energy, LLC (RAE) is a global leader in engineering, modular fabrication, and industrial plant construction. RAE helps farmers maximize their profits by transforming agricultural waste into renewable revenue. Its proprietary system of technologies captures and coverts biogas from Smithfield’s hog farms into clean, carbon-negative renewable natural gas through the natural process of anaerobic digestion. RAE is also deeply committed to native prairie grass restoration as a way improve the environment and create a valuable source of biomass for RNG.

Leadership

Chris Roach | Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer

Chris has been with Monarch since its founding in 2018 and currently also serves as President of Roeslein Alternative Energy. Chris has over 25 years of project development experience where he has been responsible for developing and deploying renewable energy projects that utilize land, biomass, and technology to create economic, ecological, and environmental benefits.

Prior to joining Roeslein Alternative Energy, Chris was a Project Development Manager for Abengoa Bioenergy, Boeing Energy, and Ceres, Inc.

Chris earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the Olin Business School of Washington University in St. Louis.

Sean Lock | Co-Founder, President and Chief Investment Officer

Sean has been with Monarch since its founding in 2018 and is also a Partner at Roeslein Alternative Energy. As Monarch’s President and Chief Investment Officer, Sean leads corporate strategy, capital allocation, project finance, M&A, and growth investments. Sean has over two decades of experience as a private equity investor, operating executive, and business co-founder.

Prior to joining Monarch, Sean served as company Co-founder, Advisor, Investment Committee, and Board Member for principal investments of Mitsui & Co. Sean has also held strategy and investment positions with Goldman, Sachs & Co., and Fortis Asset Management.

Sean, a U.S. Army Veteran, served as a Field Artillery Officer in domestic and overseas duty. He earned a B.S. in Law and Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from The Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.

Donald Glover | Chief Operating Officer

Donald joined Monarch in 2023 as Chief Operating Officer. Donald leads the company’s activities after development inclusive of HSE, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), right away maintenance, and all matter pertaining to daily operations.

Prior to joining Monarch, Donald served as Director of RNG Operation and Reliability for NextEra Energy, Vice President of Chesapeake Energy, Global Engineering Manager for SK Innovation and various leadership and engineering roles with ConocoPhillips over a 23-year period.

Donald earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Oklahoma State University and a MBA from Rice University.

Jason McGlynn | Chief Financial Officer

Jason joined Monarch in 2023 as Chief Financial Officer. Jason leads the company’s finance and accountings departments and oversees all matters of financial reporting, capital markets, financial analysis, bank/treasury relationships, and cash flow management.

Prior to joining Monarch, Jason served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Amplify Energy, a public oil and natural gas company, and as Founder and Managing Partner of Hillside Petroleum. Jason’s prior experiences include corporate finance, investor relations, business development, and financial analysis roles at Midstates Petroleum, Newfield Exploration, and ONEOK, Inc.

Jason earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Kansas and an MBA from the University of Tulsa.

Jeff Jones | Vice President and General Counsel

Jeff joined Monarch in 2022 as Vice President and General Counsel. Jeff leads the company’s legal department and oversees all contractual, compliance, and risk management matters.

Prior to joining Monarch, Jeff served as Assistant General Counsel with NextEra Energy, General Counsel for Abengoa Bioenergia, and was a part of the corporate legal team for Nordic Energy. Jeff also worked as a part of the law firm Milbank LLP in their global project finance team.

Jeff earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Brigham Young University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Julius Adeniyi | Vice President and Corporate Controller

Julius joined Monarch in 2022 as Vice President and Corporate Controller. Julius has over two decades of corporate finance and accounting experience as well as CPA, CIA, CISA, and CGMA designations.

Prior to joining Monarch, Julius served in various accounting, finance, and controller roles with Blackbuck Resources, KLX Energy Services, and Transocean.

Julius earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
